I already posted it last time, but I’m just so excited I have to say it again……  I’M GRADUATING!   I’ll be the proud parent of a BA in Psychology!

 I have been accepted into grad school as well and will begin my MSW this Fall.  Bf is moving with me when I go off to school.  Things have gotten so much smoother between he and I - so much so in fact that there may be something very special in our future!

We sure have come a long way!  I’m concerned about him living so far from his kids, though.  He’s always lived in the same town, but now we’ll be two hours away.  It won’t be a problem for his visits every other weekend, but it might be hard during the week.  He’s become accustomed to the phone call and the pop in during the week and on his opposite weekends.  The move won’t be until August, however, so we have plenty of time to talk about it beforehand.

‘Tis the season.  Falalalala.

 So here I am.  I haven’t written on here in a coon’s age.  For those of you who have wondered where I’ve been, things have been great in the relationship sector.  Ok, “great” might be a slight exaggeration, but they have been much better.  We’ve been learning to communicate, still have our ups and downs, ups are nicer and last longer and the downs are less volatile and are typically short-lived.  Bf is really making an effort to diffuse negative situations, as am I.

School is going awesome!  I must boast as I was one of only two people in my Anatomy class to get an ‘A’ on our last exam on bones and muscles.  I graduate in May (finally) and have no idea where I’m going next!  I have been thinking of getting a job in a travel agency so I can visit far-away friends on the cheap.  But I also have been looking at Grad schools from California to Virginia.  I’ll have to wait and see where that all takes me.  Life is a ride.  Weeeeeee!!!

At work we’re doing Secret Santa.  Fun for all?  Well, interesting at least.  I got napkins today as a gift.  Who gives napkins?  Rather odd.  Anyway it gives us something to look forward to on the 13th when we all descend on a local pub for the big reveal and more importantly lots of BEER!  *ghoulish laugh*

I’ve packed on about 20 more pounds since last time I wrote.  Not something I’m proud of, but I’m not obese by any means, just vanity pounds I suppose.  I’d like to lose about 30.  It’s hard when the office girls bring cookies and brownies and pies and cakes every freakin’ day. *sigh*  I’m weak.  I have a weakness for chocolate, bread, peanut butter, cream cheese, really I have a weakness for anything edible.  (that includes bf! haha)

Does anyone know what I would call this thing and where I can buy one? 

When I was a kid, I remember playing with one in my parents’ attic.  I can’t seem to find anyone who knows what I’m talking about!  AAARGH!  It’s a little handheld, pocketsized “machine.”  Each button on top counts that column from 0-9 then if it gets back to zero, it automatically bumps the next column up one.  Like an old fashioned calculator that isn’t battery powered and can save numbers forever unless you push the button on the end which resets all the columns to zero.  I need one that looks like this.  (The original was even red with white buttons like I’ve drawn).  Can anyone out there help me? 

I broke my collarbone three weeks ago.

My left arm is in a sling.

I have to type with only my right hand.

This sucks.

Five more weeks to heal.

Slipped on some icy steps & hit a metal railing.

No, I’m not dead.  I just have been extremely busy as usual.

 Last night I got my test results back from the doctor.  I don’t have Lyme Disease and I don’t have Arthritis.  All good news.  My joints still hurt, but it might just be the cold weather.

 I’d write more, but I have two papers coming up due at school and an exam next week, not to mention all the reading I need to catch up on.

Ouch.  My knee is killing me.  My right foot is killing me and my neck is killing me.  

A couple weeks ago I was limping because my left hip was sending sharp pains up my back.  I thought I slept funny.  It went away.  Days later my neck was sore.  It hasn’t gotten better; only worse.  Now if I turn to the left I get a seizing sensation up my neck.  Last week my right knee started to hurt, but it went away.  Now it’s back and worse than ever.  My right shoulder and hand were hurting also last week and that’s fine now.  My neck is still seizing and I can’t sit for any length of time without my knee stiffening up so that I am in pain when I move it and the top of the same foot is killing me when I move.

I’m losing sleep, I have no energy and I need to know what’s wrong with me.  I have an appointment with a doctor on Thursday - not mine because she’s busy until three weeks from now!  Wouldn’t you think that something as serious as this seems to be, they could squeeze me IN?  ugh.  Doctor’s suck.  I almost died from Spinal Meningitis as a child and had the exact same sensation in my neck that I’m having now. 

If I die, it’s on their heads!  That’s all I have to say.

Well, the new semester of college has begun and I’m stressed out to the MAX!  I am still working both jobs - one full-time and one on part-time relief status, and my courses have begun at the University.  I’m taking three classes, one of which has a lab along with it.  The class which includes a lab is one of the most challenging for my major and the other two have a lot of reading, papers, quizzes and exams as well. 

I hope I have not bitten off more than I can chew.  One good thing is that a lot of the work I need to accomplish can be done online, via “Blackboard” and “Webct,” so I can putter around here in my office doing some school work unbeknownst to my boss! lol   He’s also out at a training for the rest of this week!  WOOHOO!

Anyway, I apologize for my lack of posts the last couple weeks and for the remainder of the semester in advance. 

Things are going okay with bf right now, but I have to divulge an incident that happened Friday night, much to my embarrassment:  We were driving home from the town where he works and I began to tell him a story about someone I knew years ago near his house; this was way back when I was married.  Bf accused me of lying because he said he knows everyone who has ever lived in that neighborhood!  Instead of just hearing my story - it was a funny anecdote, I thought - he started yelling and getting in my face while I was driving!  So I put up my arm to block his advances and push him back into his seat and he pushed back saying that I punched him, then proceeded to continue yelling, name-calling, and getting in my face…. so I pulled the car over, and…  I punched him in the face. :(  I’d never hit anyone, even in self-defense, in my life.  I felt awful for having done it, but it actually made him stop hollering and he remained on his side of the car the rest of the drive.  I didn’t speak to him until Sunday evening.  Instead I focused on my studies.  When I saw him Sunday he said he thought I broke his nose, but he was okay.  I hate that this happened.  I really wish we could communicate in a HEALTHY way, but it seems like things just get worse when we try to talk.  He doesn’t like to talk.  He likes to yell.  I love him, though, and I know that his issues aren’t his fault (or mine, I do realize), but I don’t know how to get to a point where we can just be adults with each other instead of screaming two-year-olds having temper tantrums.

I’m not breaking up with him; just so you know.  I know a lot of you are reading this, and without the emotional investment, you think I should just kick him to the curb.  However, that’s not going to happen.  I adore bf, despite his faults and I know he feels the same about me. 

I’ll post more as time permits.  Meanwhile, peace.

Whether you celebrated or not, 2007 came upon us at midnight Sunday night.  I celebrated a little here, a little there and a little everywhere!!  The New Year is a thoughtful time; what could we have done different this past year, what have our accomplishments been?

Knowing that 2006 is past and that I am unable to change things gone by, I contemplate 2007 with thoughts of doing the best that I can at those things that I do.  And learning to do more of the things I’d like to do.

What is a New Year’s resolution?  Is it just a promise to give something up or to diet, or to stop doing something else?  I personally don’t perscribe to the notion that “resolutions” really work.  So I will just continue to do my best at everything that I do in the coming twelve months.  Really, that’s all any of us can do. 

So I say; HAPPY NEW YEAR, do the best that you can and stay healthy and happy!

Well, Christmas is over and New Year’s Eve is on the way.  I am sitting here smiling as I look at the beautiful new watch bf gave me for the holiday. 

I spent the day with him and his kids.  It was such a great day!  His mother came to visit as well as a niece and nephew.  The kids had a million and one presents to open and we took many photos and some video clips. 

I thought about last Christmas and although I was living with bf at that time, it doesn’t seem it was quite as special as this year.  Perhaps we’re finally beginning to grow.  I certainly hope that we’ll have a Christmas future….

Christmas is a time for family.  It is a time for quiet reflection.  That’s what I intend to do.  I will spend it with family and just - reflect.  If there aren’t any mirrors around, I hope to find a frozen puddle to gaze into.

I don’t know how much blogging I’ll be doing, so I wanted to make sure and tell you all that I wish the best for you during the Hannukah, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice, Christmas, Boxing Day, New Year season!
